Stephen Yuffrida Brown (he/him) is a Pushcart nominated writer-activist with a Philly attitude and a background in LGBT+ studies. In his professional life, he is dedicated to the belief that art shapes ideology and that education is crucial for achieving social justice and social mobility.

Stephen is the former editor in chief and fiction editor of Rathalla Review. He holds an MFA in fiction and MA in children's, middle grade, and young adult publishing from Rosemont College (Villanova University). He completed his undergrad at Temple University in English literature, LGBT+ studies, and gender, sexuality, and women's studies.

Stephen's poetry and prose have appeared in various literary journals and anthologies, mostly queer ones. He is the author of two multi-genre chapbooks, A Portrait of Brotherhood as Two Boys from Space (2025) and His Boyfriend Materials (2024), both of which are available from Bottlecap Press.
